Yesterday, I went to a hotel in Bangalore and was giving my order. I said "One Sada Dosa". He promptly replied in Kannada saying "No. we don't have sada dosa. We have plain dosa, masala dosa, set dosa". :))

Google Aap ki bhasha mein
Google launched translator for Indian local languages(right now only for Hindi). You can check it out at

It is simply awesome.
On lighter note, when I tried to use this over my blog, I found it funny. :)
Below was the conversation between my cousins. One has just finished his 2nd std and another finished his 10th std.
10th Std Cousin: ee roju chatrapati movie. but, nuvvu already chusesavu kada? (Today movie "Chatrapati" is showing in one of the channels. But, you watched it already. isn't it?
2nd Std Cousin: aa. Kani, nenu marchipoyintanu kada. (Ya. But, I might have forgotten right.)
Another conversation:
We all thought of going for a movie. So, I want to find out the timings for the show. So, I asked my 2nd std cousin who is a movie addict regarding show timings. So, my father had asked this boy "You frequently watch movies in theater right?". So, for this, this kid replies "Ledu. ippudu manesa. (No. I left it now.)".
